40th anniversary of the death of modern architecture

Today, we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the death of modern architecture!
According to Charles Jenks, it died around 3 p.m. on March 16, 1972.
The urban housing of Pruitt Igoe in Saint-Louis an appartmentblock (designed by Minoru Yamasaki & George Hellmuth) was demolished, 16 years after it was built.
Today it is mostly referred to as the icon of failed public housing.
A recent documentary tries to reconstruct the context of the demolition, which is very layered and complicated.
